My husband, who was a hairy man, used to put tegaderms on before he inserted 
the cath.  Those hold really well, and then the cath sticks to it instead.  
It'd hold for at least 3 days.  He just passed away from pancreatitis in 
April so if you'd like to try this, e-mail 
email @ redacted your address and I'll mail you some.  I 
don't believe that they are covered by insurance for this use so you'd have 
to purchase them.  It worked really well for him though.  Good luck.
