[IP] Camps for kids admission policy

Pump or injection
therapy, all of the kids still have diabetes. Unfortunately, the pump does
not change that. It does sadden me to report this type of news on a board
full of parents who have worked long and hard to initiate and maintain pump
therapy for their children. Spot opines:
diabetes is diabetes and although the method of insulin delivery is
different, the kids still have to learn about their illness. Carb counting,
blood testing and the like and to have a better image of themselves when
they realize they are not the only ones. camp is a good experience for most
kids with 'betes who always felt like they had 7 heads. How to handle sick
days, what activity does to them. Even for kids without 'betes camp is a
great experience. Spot and Christine
