[IP] Re: [IP pumping and children

Hi Lisa
You are so lucky finding a good endo. How great it must be to have an endo
who can really understand what your child is going through. I really think
this is the best thing for our kids. It's got to be better than it is now!
We live in southeastern Ky. in a small town. As it is we drive 1 1/2 hrs.
to my son's endo appts. I just made an appt. with an endo in Ohio (3hrs.
away) who says "your son will have to meet certain criteria for the
pump."..etc ..etc. I hope it works out. If not, I'm seriously coming to
New Hampsire!! Braden's a1c's usually range in the 5.9-6.6 but he has so
many lows. He has had an extreme amount of highs these last couple of
months also so I wouldn't be surprised to see an 8 or so. Ugh!!
Braden was diagnosed at 26mo. It used to be so much easier to control his
nos., but he ate on schedule and the same amount at each meal. Of course
that didn't last. I have learned so much from the list. It has given me
some hope for a more 'normal' childhood for Braden. Let's keep in touch.
(especially since I may have to make a trip to see your endo! ha ha)
Take care
Beth
