Re: [IP] Prescription

Holly -
Absolutely!  My endo wrote my letter of "necessity" but when Minimed didn't send it right away, and I called to see what was the holdup, they said any doctor could write it - I asked if I should pester my family doc (thinking my endo hadn't written it) and the MM people said not to worry.  If in doubt, call the MM people and ask.  They knew my endo, because they had worked with him before, so possibly they also know your family practitioner?!  Ask them - can't hurt!
Good luck, Jane

Ok everyone, now time for a stupid question.  Can your family doctor write the prescription for the pump, even if you go to an endo?  I may be looking into the local Dr. writing the prescription, but I want to continue with the Endo.  I hope this makes sense.
