I think that the layer of IV3000 give a better bond.  It is more
"stretchy" than the infusion set, so I think that the layered, more
gradual, transisition helps.  Only a guess as to why, but without it
mine did loosen badly when I swim.

Why is this done?  Why not inject infusion set directly into skin?  I
Just curious.  When I used sofsets I used tegaderm, cut a 1/2 inch hole
center (by folding) and placed it over sofset.  Never lost one that way.
