[IP] Medicare conundrum on insulin pump supplies

Medicare sends out supplies based on doctor's orders. One cannot get supplies
until you first see the doctor. The doctor issues a request to your vendor
supply house. On the next order (might be up to 90 days??), the vendor supply
house gets medicare approval on your DME supply request, the vendor sends out
the supplies since they now have medicare approval and hence the vendor supply
follows the guidelines, which allows them to get reimbursed.

Here is the conundrum:

the patient cannot get the needed additional supplies UNTIL all conditions are
met which might be weeks or months. Is there any mechanism whereby a patient
can request medicare to grant the request WHEN THE DOCTOR MAKES THE REQUEST?
