LOL, Antonio makes a really good point.  You should definitely have a
needle or two in your supply kit!  I found that out the hard way, on a
beach far from home.  If your son's pump malfunctions you need a way to
give insulin fast, as he won't have any long-acting insulin back-up and
can go high very quickly.  This is probably something your CDE has
mentioned, as mine did, but it didn't totally sink in until I had a
problem.

I don't think that you'd be using the software in an emergency...  You
need a syringe or 2.
