RE: [IP] Ouch! Help!

No, I've put on some weight (I'm now up to a reasonable weight), and the pain
is at the point of
entry, and quite acute, not dull at all. But that would have been a concern a
year ago, when I was
about 20 pounds lighter.

It's subsided a great deal, down now to the merely annoying. In fact, I think
this is down to about
normal for this location on the first day.

One other oddity is that when I finally removed the original set, it bled. Not
enough to run down my
belly, but quite a large drop, probably 10x or more than I've seen any site
bleed on removal.

I'm leaning more toward a mechanical cause, rather than reaction to the
insulin. My TDD was down
today to 37.7 U, too.

Is is possible you've lost a littl weight and the set is reaching through the
sub-cu tissue to
muscle? That would certainly account for pain, particularly if it starts out as
a "dull ache" that
is at the infusion set insertion point.
