Re: [IP] Cure for Diabetes

As far me, I'm happy as he- - that the drug/supply companies are making a good
profit. If they were not, we'd still be pissing on a test strip and sharping our
20 gage needles.
There would not be any $6000 pumps for our insurance companies the pay for. or
any fast acting insulin to put in them.

Hi Jimb,

I respectfully disagree with you. Any company large or small that comes up
with a cure for diabetes will earn jillions of dollars and possibly their
scientists will earn the Nobel prize as well. I don't believe any drug
company, no matter how much they are currently earning off diabetes, would
hold back a cure or ethically stretch it out over time. That is my opinion
based on my personal experiences of being a manager at two very large drug
companies.

Basically, there is no incentive to find a cure, UNLESS, they find a drug that
needs to be taken daily, say 1 pill a day that would cure you for 24 hours and
then you take it again. Bet it wouldn't be cheap.
