[IP] RX interaction question

My son was at the ped yesterday and they gave him a RX for
Amoxicillin/Clavulanic Acid suspension 400-57/5 and for Promethazine with
Phenylephrine. the
1st is an antibiotic and the 2nd is for nasal congestion. Does anyone know if
these drugs would have any effect on BG levels he's been doing really well
but after taking the med's at 8 pm last night his bg soared more than once. At
4:30 am i finally gave him 6 u by injection cause he was at 419 with ketones.

Anyone out there have any similar experience/advice?
Thanks
