It seems to me that there ISN'T a difference.  You need insulin, no matter how you get it.  I can see with glasses or binoculars, but using binoculars is a lousy way to do it.  
   ;>)     I could take shots, MDI, but again, it's a lousy way to do it.  I chose pumping as it's the better way.    :>)

(who hated the basal timing that NPH chose for me for 12 of the 34 years)
