Re: [IP] info on the new paradigm?

When I was pump shopping in September, I was told that
the new pump would use a new brand of insulin that
minimed had developed for it. This insulin would only
be available from MM.
That was one of the factors that led me to purchase a
pump from Animas. So far I really like it. Can't
imagine not having one. - Great bunch of folks that
pump!!

Tom,
I learned a lot about the Paradigm when I was pump
shopping a couple months
ago.
The reason the Paradigm holds less insulin is because
it is smaller. You just
need to decide what issues are most important for you
and make a decision to
upgrade or not to upgrade based on them. It sounds as
if your insulin
requirement might possibly make the Paradigm a poor
choice for you.
Basically, the big differences between the Paradigm
and older Minimed
products is that it's waterproof, smaller, holds less
insulin, will have to
be used with Minimed infusion sets, doesn't click and
has a menu-driven
screen.
Good luck in your research and decision.
