I learned a lot about the Paradigm when I was pump shopping a couple months 
The reason the Paradigm holds less insulin is because it is smaller. You just 
need to decide what issues are most important for you and make a decision to 
upgrade or not to upgrade based on them. It sounds as if your insulin 
requirement might possibly make the Paradigm a poor choice for you. 
Basically, the big differences between the Paradigm and older Minimed 
products is that it's waterproof, smaller, holds less insulin, will have to 
be used with Minimed infusion sets, doesn't click and has a menu-driven
