Because Novo chose to go through the additional trials and expense of getting 
Novolog approved for the pump and Lilly did/does not. So now Novo has a 
(meaningless) marketing tool, because it doesn't matter if Novolog has been 
approved for pump use or not. As long as it is approved, period, it can be 
prescribed by a doctor for use in a pump (as can Humalog).
