[IP] Re: Disney Pass (my opinion)

No one has said or is saying that people only use them to get
ahead of the line and not for a real need or that people who use
them are using D as an excuse, or that they are bad or wrong for
using them. But there is potential for abuse there. Unfortunately
there are a lot of people who would not necessarily use it for
the intended purpose but just to take advantage (not saying that
is your intent AT ALL.) How many of us have seen perfectly
capable people parking in a handicap spot simply because they can
- because they have a sign (and it is obvious that the person
sprinting into the store is NOT the one with the
handicap/disability, nor is the handicapped/disabled person
anywhere around. NOT saying this is the case every time but it
sure happens a lot)? I wouldn't be surprised if this is why some
people have such trouble getting them.

You're right...the strips and meters (not to mention the insulin)
are supposed to be kept cool, and that is always a concern when
you are out in the heat all day (but then again, there are ways
to prevent that - little cooler packs for those that can be put
in the meter bag, as well as frio wallets.) Still, a pass might
be useful and if you think you will need it, then you *should*
get one.
