Re: [IP] Anyone else dealing with Type 1 and Celiac in a child?

Hi Charisma,

My type 1 son does not have Celiac disease, but we have both gone through
testing for it at UCDavis Medical Center, Sacramento, CA.

What state do you live in? Do you have an HMO or PPO medical insurance?
Do you have a pediatrician who arranges referrals to specialists? If so,
your pediatrician should be responsible to get your child in to see the
appropriate specialist on an urgent basis.

There are a lot of forums on the internet which address Celiac disease and
appropriate diets. Have you searched online?

I wish you luck with getting treatment quickly. You are fortunate that you
have a diagnosis, now education is the next step.

Keep us posted.

Diane :-)
