Me too. My blood sugar was about 1100. My dr at the time said I was just
hours away from slipping into a coma.  They even told my mom that they
thought it was leukemia.  I spent 2 weeks in the hospital.  I remember
before I could leave I had to experience a low sugar reaction.  They held my
breakfast from me and gave me my insulin so that I would know what it felt
like.

Isn't that the truth..I was admitted to Childrens Medical Center for 12 days
back in 1979 when I was diagnosed.  I weighed about 75lbs myself and went in
with a blood sugar of around 1200....but I was still walking....
