No need to waste a perfectly good piece of fruit (unless it isn't perfect). A 
sponge or piece of foam will work for practice. Actually, the 30 - 45 degree 
angle of insertion is the same as an injection by syringe, when you aren't 
inserting at 90 degrees (straight in). Do NOT attempt to insert a 
Sil/Tender/Comfort at a 90 degree angle.

By the way, a letter to someone's supervisor or administrator is appropriate.
