Re: [IP] New to list Pixie

Pixie, I too used pills as a "Type II" for 2 years with poor control. Then
medications due to asthma caused me to use insulin coverage for 6 months,
then I was on glucophage. That lasted until I finally tested---denialfor
months--and then I jumped on the band wagon with MDI. As my insulin
requirements grew my endo "offered" the pump and I have never been happier
or healthier! I use 3 different basals, and bolus at an 8-1 rate. I know I
can use less insulin as I lose weight, I am no longer considered a "Type
II"? as my endo said I will always use insulin, but I HAVE really put a
great foot forward and I am slowly loosing weight. GO FOR THE PUMP! I love
my MM and the staff is fabulous!!! I recieved several different infusion
sets to try at first. I have used the QR softset for 1.5 years and I just
ordered a box of QR bent, as now that I am exercising the hub has been
getting caught on things--so you have to try different ones to see what you
like--Good luck
Debbie--
