: [IP] foot problems

The pediatrician doesn't consider it important enough to
warrant a referral to a specialist.
Doreen, do you need a referral for insurance reasons? Any Dr. who feels a
childs pain isn't important enough to treat a problem would make me run the
other way - fast! A good podiatrist can treat the problem. However, these are
stubborn little things that don't always respond to treatment, as you have
found out. They can be cut out - more painful recovery. One of my daughters
had them on both feet. Our Dr. froze 1 off 1 foot, saying there was no need to
do the others at the same time. Many times the immune system kicks in and
responds by getting rid of the others. Worked like a charm in her case!

Good luck - Sue Tappendorf
