I had laser surgery many years ago, something called PRP (pan retinal....)
over a fairly large section of the retina.  The laser surgery does not hurt at
all unless they are doing a section of the eye with nerve endings, at least
that was my experience.  Your eyes will be tired afterwards. They use an
eyedrop which anaesthetizes the eye.  A session took about 20 minutes as I
recall.  My current retina specialist says it is because of the aggressive
treatment I got back then that my visionis still intact.
