[IP] A1C's & LOW BLOOD SUGARS???
Hi:
I have two questions I would like to ask:
1. I was wondering if any insulin-dependent Diabetics and/or those of know
about A1C's would have info on BG and A1C's.
This last week, my A1C was 5.9--that is the lowest I have ever had and I have
had Juvenile (Type I) Diabetes for 49-1/2 years now. I am insulin-dependent
(5-6 shots a day) and near 62 years old (April 1st).
My curiosity question is: If my A1C reading is 5.9 (which is taken every 3
mos.), what would my average be on my dialy tests for 3 mos??? I usually run
85-130 per test but would love to know what the A1C readings for 3 mos. (like
5.4) says my DAILY readings would be??? There must be a chart, graph, or
something that might give us an idea of what A1C represents re: our daily
tests???
2. It seems like the longer I have Diabetes, the lower my Blood Sugar
readings can dip before I feel like I need some OJ or Glucose tablets--do you
think this is normal????
Welcome all responses. Please respond either to the Pumper's Digest or to my
personal email at: email @ redacted Thank you very much.
