RE: [IP] Question on Supplemental Life Insurance

I wonder if you should ask your insurance agent to try to apply through a
different company, or seek out an agent who has access to other companies.
A year ago I applied for $150,000 of life insurance - 30 year term policy -
and was approved!!! I've had Diabetes for 32 years (31 years at time of
application) and was very pleasantly surprised. One agent I spoke with had
difficulty finding any insurance, but a different agent found it through a
company that insures higher risk people. The price isn't bad either. I
think I pay about $317.00 annually for my policy. Hope this helps.

Subject: [IP] Question on Supplemental Life Insurance

Hi Guys,
I know I haven't posted much lately, but I have a question. I have life
insurance through my job and my husband does through his. Since mine only
matches salary and doesn't allow for investing in more, my husband and I
decided to have me also covered through his work through the spouse coverage
plan they have. I filled out the paper work and we recently got the
response back that I was declined because I was diabetic and it was a
preexisting condition.

On the original form they asked if I was diabetic and to list my specialists
if I was. I contacted the offices and they said they were never contacted
by the insurance company.

I was wondering if anyone else had been in this situation and if they were
able to have it overturned.

Any help would be appreciated.
