Re [IP] claritin caution?

In Reply to Richard regarding Claritin for children:
Cory's doctor tried him on Clairtin but it may have been Pre Diabetes. The
Claritin did not relieve his allergy symptoms at all. It was no more
effective than a sip of water would have been. Now he takes Zyrtec, which is
supposed to be a very safe antihistamine and it is powerful. It works really
well and since he takes it at bedtime, most of the sedative effect is gone
the next morning. It doesn't seem to have any effect on his blood sugar.
