the thing that convinced me to pump was better control. 
there are ups and downs of the pump and some days i still take a break and 
use a regular needle. 
i guess you have to look at what is working for you and if you are willing to 
chnage that. if the needles are good for you " why fix something that isnt 
broken?" maybe you can come back to the idea of a pump in a few months or 
maybe  a year. 
since your child is 12 ( i think??) maybe when they start high school that 
would be a better time to think of a pump? just because the whole idea of 
starting a new school, ne life ect.. could tie in with a new pump.
