I prefer the "tail".  The biggest reason is because I have fairly long nails 
(natural, by the way) and they get in the way with the ones that disconnect 
at the site.  I tried for about a month and never felt comfortable with it.  
I was either afraid that I would pull the whole thing out or I could never 
get a hold of it.
