No, no, no, no, no. They can be done separately and many have been. Some get a
kidney to stay alive since a pancreas may be unsuitable for some reason (too
fat, damaged, etc.) but the kidneys are usuable for two people. The recipients
then can get a pancrea later on. Some will get a kidney from a living donor,
then a pancreas when a cadaver becomes available. Join a KPTX list and hear
