[IP] Fitting in

Faith, take heart!!!!

I "fit in" even less than you do. I don't fit in EITHER category -- Type
2 OR Type 2, and I'm neither elderly nor a child.

I was diagnosed at the age of 44 -- but I'm not insulin-resistant, I'm
not obese, I'm not ketosis prone, I didn't respond to the sulfonylureas
-- all those nots sound like I don't have diabetes at all!!! (I wish!).

NONE of the discussions ANYWHERE pertain 100% to me -- but I do get a
few gems here and there!!!! And the lists were instrumental in
empowering me to take control of my own diabetes regimen!

In addition, I do enjoy the pumpers' support group here in Reno -- if
some of the talk doesn't pertain to me, some of it does, and I enjoy
passing on ideas I get HERE on IP to those that are not on the list!!!

Yes, sometimes I DO feel totally alone with my diabetes, but the fact is
that there are people out there that care, even though they don't
understand exactly what *I* have -- good enough!
