[IP] Medicare and Pumps

Hi, Jim -- I looked at the site, but it doesn't answer my question:

Suppose someone was already on the pump long before reaching the age of
Medicare, and then enrolled in Medicare at age 65. Would pump supplies
be covered, or would the person have to give up the pump?

Second, I know a Type 1 who got a C-Peptide of 0.6 -- he's a pumper,
because of hypoglycemia unawareness, among other things -- would
Medicare deny him pump supplies because he's over that 0.5 cutoff?

Is Medicare just another bean-counting HMO?
