Re: [IP] Need help with cold weather BG testing

I love my FastTake, but it's more sensitive to cold than my one touch
profile - leaving it near a cold window will make it unusable (and I'm in
California Bay area, not Alaska).
I have problems with the high temperatures too, I go to Mexico and have to
put my meter in the frig to get it cooled off to work.

The new (one touch) ULTRA is supposed to have a lower working temp and a
higher working temp, not much, but anything would help. I remember living
in Omaha and imagining myself trying to test my BG in the car with temp
at -15 degrees. Not possible.

I'm eagerly awaiting good ol' Kaiser to declare ULTRA a glucometer of
formulary choice (unlike my humalog, which I pay for, even though Viagra is
covered?), so I can get it.
Look up the specs on this glucometer, it might help a bit in cold weather.
