so what else is new??? There was another glaring error earlier in the article 
where it stated how the athlete "used to" have to check his blood suagr 2-4 
times per day to know how he was doing, thus implying he no longer had to do 
so.....In reality, the non-D public pays scant attention to these stories 
anyway, so the bottom line is that if some young child with D is encouraged 
to consider pump therapy because of this athlete's example, then "mission 
accomplished". There are many children using pumps today whose initial 
impetus was Miss America's advocacy 2 years ago....Still, it would be nice if 
most of what you read in the press wasn't "suspect"!!
