I have to admit that the Disetronic is not totally waterproof. (i never put
in the little red clip for the resivour.  But again the only real part of
the pump that must stay dry is the electronics and batteries which IS
totally waterproof.  When i go swimming and don't put the little red cap
(clip) i just remove the resevour (very easy to do in a second) and just
tap the water out. very easy and doesn't hurt the pump in any way.
