I've had lots of weird experiences with skiing (er, blood sugars, that
is). i used to just 
suspend the pump and eat some glucose tabs if (when) i got low - but then
i'd always find that i would rebound to a really high sugar with even one
glucose tab.  it seems to work better if i take a little less insulin for
breakfast than normal, so i start with a higher sugar, then i put it on a
lower rate and test a lot - if i seem to be dropping i'll suspend it.  but
beware of those rebounds! they are sooo annoying - especially when you
have just stopped for lunch and you really want to eat something ...
