[IP] Determining if an unborn baby will have diabetes

Their doctor knew I was diabetic and
therefore had my daughter-in-law do a glucose test.

Sue, the only glucose test is one to determine if the mother has gestational
diabetes. In order to test the baby's sugar, or for the antibodies that
predict diabetes, one would have to draw the baby's blood, which would be
very hard to do. It is standard for the mother to be tested for diabetes in
about the 5th month of pregnancy by drawing her blood either 2 hours after a
meal or a sugary drink.

Congratulations on becoming a grandmother.
