RE: [IP]T:slim - a report

What is prolonged ? A single charge lasts for over a week, some have said
10 or more days ... If the power is out at my house for a week ( 2 days ) -
Im either getting a generator ( have one ) or getting a room at hotel or
friends house that has power...

After a couple days the food in your fridge is gone - the insulin in your
fridge is warming up - so the state of charge of your pump is a small issue
at that point...

Since you have a car, once a week, you can charge the pump while driving the
car to get food, since the food in your fridge is spoiled.

I think we are over thinking the recharge issue - you can't keep your food
or insulin cold with AA batteries

I have a suitcase sized Honda generator - quiet - starts easy and plenty of
power for fridge and lights and charging batteries

Also survived in Gulfport MS for 2 weeks after Katrina ... My pump and its
power were not even in the top 100 of things I was worried about
Fresh water and ammunition to keep looters away were higher on the list ....

That still doesn't solve the problem of a prolonged power outage unless the
charger runs off batteries or you are able to drive your car enough to keep
the battery charged.
