[IP] Re: Alzheimers and diabetes

Alzheimers can only truely be diagnosed after death by autopsy and
crossections of the brain. We now diagnose it thru MRI's and other rule
out tecniques. Just my 2 cents. YMMV Scott

My father was hypoglycemic. He was diagnosed with Alzheimers some
years
later. He had aphasia. He had no balance. He always recognized us.
There was
no autopsy.

Now, my sister, an R.N. who has followed much of the new research,
declares
that he did not have Alzheimers at all. She claims a form of
Hydrocephalous
and says that, had a shunt been inserted, he would have returned to
normal.

I want to discuss this with my own doctors, because I don't want to end
up
like him.
