RE: [IP] South Beach - Rah, Rah, Rah!!!

Hey Jeff - Go for it!  I want to hear results and success too!   I am a
dietitian certified in weight management.  I have several of my clients who
love this lifestyle change ( I dislike the word DIET - because it has a
negative connotation - you can DIE by iT!)  I have wanted to try it myself
but as a single mom of 3 young kids( 5 1/2y.o. T1 on pump) I don't have the
time to cook double meals for the first 2 week phase.  I will be your
cheerleader as well as many others on the list!  Don't hesitate to email me
off list with any questions.  Couple of tips: 
1. be consistent with how you weigh - same time, same amount of clothing or
lack thereof.
2. Take tape measure measurements as well.  While weight may not change,
skin tone may which honestly is more important than a number on the scale.
3. Be realistic with weight loss... the best is 5-10% of current weight
makes the most impact on overall health... yet I don't think in the least
bit that 30 pounds is unachievable
4. Exercise, exercise, exercise - lifestyle activity counts - use a
pedometer - I have several extras if you need one - I can send it to you if
you want.

Hey folks,

You may or may not be interested, but I got the South Beach book and book on
cd this December, and I thought I'd give it a try, and let y'all know about
it.  I'm not selling anything; I am my own personal Guinea Pig (insert joke
here...) on this.
