I'm 6' 6" (198 cm) with long legs. I find the short tubing to be really
annoying, whether it's time to go to the bathroom, take off my clothes for
bed, or just to read the damned thing. I've switched to the longer tubing,
and coil up some of the excess loosely under the clip so it doesn't get
out of control, and it's (mostly) fine.

If you're not rather tall (or perhaps large), though, I suspect the
shorter one would be preferable for most people. Probably if you're
bedridden, the longer one would be preferred.
