Re: [IP] Meter Check..

.............................................................................
Hi Sylvia!
Is your son still using the accu-chek compact?
I'm currently using the one touch and I love the speed of the results. I was
considering switching to the acc-chek because of the drum. I know that it
takes a little longer for the result and that's the reason I switched to the
one touch from the dex.. but I miss the convenience of not having to load a
strip each time I test.

Joshua was given one of these Compact meters with the drum of 17 strtips.
He
really loved it. was given 3 drums only. It also required a smaller drop
of
blood, could be taken from any site, and the convenience of pushing a button
to retrieve a strip was fun for Josh. I think someone said that the
computer
progrram for this particular meter was not as efficient as some other
programs that are available. It did take a little longer for countdown,
similar to Freestyle. Strip drums are relatively inexpensive about $47.00
for THREE drums at Walgreens here in WA state. That really isn't that bad.
