Re:[IP] Angiogram

Hubby had to have an angiogram (started out just to check carotids, but
ended up doing whole vascular system) the end of July. Because of constant
pain from a problem TKR, he had to be very heavily sedated. He was NPO from
midnight the day of the test, kept the pump running on basal the whole time,
and after he was finally able to eat, covered carbs with a bolus. I think
the highest reading he got was like a 154. Fortunately the anesthesiologist
who did the sedation was familiar with insulin pumps so it was never
questioned about him "keeping it on and running" though Hubby's CDE told us
there had been problems with other anesthesiologists.

Subject: [IP] Angiogram

I am scheduled for an angiogram on January 9 and was wondering if anyone has
had this experience and how did you handle it with the pump?
