The guaifed part of Guaifed/Pseudo is a higher strength Robitussin in tablet 
form, so should not cause any bg changes, the Pseudo part is the nasal 
decongestant which also has a stimulant side effect which is where the 
jittery feeling comes from.  As far as the bg being high, it is possible that 
the infection is what is causing the high bg, but also if you tend to run 
high when upset and nervous, then the stimulant side effect of the Pseudo 
could be what is causing the bg to be higher.
