[IP] Re: 50-yr award

>>How does one get this award??? My brother, Tom, had been T1 since 1943. He
never got an award. He deserves one. How can he get it?

I wrote (e-mailed http://www.joslin.harvard.edu/contact.html) the Awards
Dept., %Joslin Diabetes Center, One Joslin Place, Boston, MA. They sent me
forms to be filled out. They issue a certificate for 25 yrs. of Insulin
Dependent Diabetes Mellitus, and a bronze medal for 50 years. They notified
Eli Lilly Co. (insulin mfgrs) who is sending me an engraved sterling silver
medal. The BASH article should be in the paper in the wee hours tomorrow
morning (12/27/00). I'll post the URL. (~_^)
