Re: [IP] One pump or two?



I have the H-Tron plus from Disetronic have had it for 3 years-couldn't
imagine not having a back-up pump.  Have only used the back up two times but
can't tell you the comfort it brings especially when traveling to know you
have a back up.  Sorry to hear Disetronic is no longer supplying a
back-up-think it should be a requirement here also.  How does someone like
myself with extreme insulin sensativities switch from Humalog via pump 8.5
u's basal per day to shots?  Scares me to even think about it. Have had 3
different insulins over the 7 years and always ended up on my back for about
3 weeks waiting to get use to the change. With the major snow storms and
living in a somewhat secluded area could also put me in extreme
jeopardy-just don't think anyone should be put in that situation-expecially
if it can be avoided.
