I switched about a year ago from a MM506 to the MM508 (and asked a similar
question to the group...). My reaction was that there was very little
difference in general and what differences there were could be learned on a
need to know basis (for example the 506 didn't have the squarewave and dual
types of boluses so I didn't use them at first). The best feature of the 508
compared to the 506 was the alarm when the resevoir was getting low.
Overall, my feeling was that the 508 was simply "more refined" but otherwise
basically the same.
