One idea would be to supply them with facts and figures on how the pump is 
more economical in the long run.  The pump manufacturers probably have this 
"cost/benefit" data already put together for their sales reps to use.  The 
cost benefit argument also proves the quality point; it is better healthcare, 
so their plan might want it for that reason.  Many plans have evolved to 
point where their value proposition is to provide quality healthcare at the 
lowest cost; not bad healthcare at the lowest cost!
