If you wear your pump (i.e. Disetronic) or even part of
your insulin tubing (Quick Release sets) in a hot tub, the
heat tends to destroy the insulin.  It can also make a site
fail sooner.  The heat also makes it difficult to start a
new site right after getting out of the hot tub because it
stimulates the blood flow and can cause "gushers" when the
set needle is inserted.

This heat reaction can be used for BG testing if your hands
are cold.  Just run warm water over the finger you want to
test from for a little while and you can get a better drop
of blood with less pain and effort.
