[IP] Re: Waste Disposal

Again a YMMV depending on where you live - in NJ, hospitals can accept 
regulated medical waste (RMW) if your part of a hospital treatment group but 
by law the pharmacy that sells you the needle is responsible for its proper 
disposal so it is up to them to provide the sharps container for needle 
disposal.  The cartridges, infusion sets, empty vials are not RMW since they 
have not been exposed to blood or bodily fluids (unless you had a backup) - 
normal household (Type 10) waste.  Alcohol or similar pads are not usually 
RWM unless saturated with blood or bodily fluids - a dried blood spot is not 
going to get the waste police (Yes, here in NJ there are such critters) after
