Re[2]: [IP] carrying humalog

I was told that Humalog needed a prescription because it was soooo fast acting
and petered out in such a short time span that they want to make sure that only
patients that knew how to use it got it. They didn't want uninformed diabetics
having problems. 

There is some logic to this... How many times have you had to double check your
insulin to make sure the pharmacist didn't give you NPH instead of regular (or
beef instead of human, in the recent good ol' days)? Maybe only HMO pharmacies
sleep walk on the job.
