Re: [IP] New meds......

Celia,
Did your doctor give you any reasons as to exactly why he was prescribing
these drugs for you other than because your bg's are all over the place? Both
meds are generally used to treat Type 2 diabetes although I have wondered if
those types of meds could be used for Type 1's depending upon the situation.
Am also wondering if it's possible your doctor made a mistake thinking you
were Type 2? In any case, please, please get a second opinion to be sure. A
red flag went up when I read your post and I am concerned. Keep us informed.

Subject: [IP] New meds......

Hi Everyone,

I have a quick question. I went to my general doctor (I don't have an
endo). He asked how my sugars were, I said they were all over the place and
he immediatly prescribed Byetta, and Avandia. Has any Type Ones out there
had any experience with these?

Thanks
Celia
