OK, I HAVE had an infection from a lancet stick.  More than likely it was
from something on the skin rather than from anything left on the lancet, but
what the heck, so I changed FIVE times that year (or was it 3, I think I
forgot both DST changes)  The infection cleared in a few days, no
anti-biotics necessary.  That did NOT alter my frequency of changes.  When
the lancet starts pulling the skin back due to the barb on the end of it,
then I will change (or maybe I'll try
sharpening it like we used to do with our needles)      ;-)
